❓ What ages are your weekly classes for?

Artberry Afterschool Art Club is designed for kids ages 4–12, with groups based on age and developmental stage:

The Scribblers | Ages 4–5
The Explorers | Ages 6–8
The Creators | Ages 8–12

A separate mixed-age Homeschool Art Club is available for elementary-age children ages 5–11.

❓ How does enrollment work?

Weekly classes are offered in multi-week sessions throughout the school year. Sessions range from 5 to 8 weeks depending on the school calendar.

When you register, your child’s spot is reserved for the entire session. Enrollment does not automatically renew, so each new session is booked separately.

❓ What if my child misses a class?

Make-up classes are not offered for missed classes.

Many Artberry projects continue over 2–3 classes, and different groups may be working on completely different projects or stages of the creative process. Because of this, moving into another class for a make-up usually does not work well.

If your child will be absent, please let me know whenever possible. Missed classes are non-refundable.

❓ What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 15 days before the first day of the session are eligible for a refund minus a 5% processing fee.

Cancellations made less than 15 days before the session begins are non-refundable. Once a session has started, tuition cannot be refunded, transferred, or credited toward another session.

I understand that unexpected circumstances happen, so families are always welcome to reach out. While exceptions cannot be guaranteed, I will always do my best to find a reasonable solution when possible.

❓ Are all art materials included?

Yes! All materials are included in tuition.

Students work with a variety of materials such as paint, drawing supplies, clay, collage materials, mixed media, and more. Please dress your child in clothes that can get messy.

❓ What kinds of projects do kids create?

Artberry is more than a typical arts & crafts class.

Students explore drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and different artistic techniques through thoughtfully designed projects. Many projects span several classes, giving kids time to develop ideas, experiment with materials, and experience the full creative process instead of rushing to finish something in one class.

❓ Do children have to copy the instructor’s example?

No. While I teach techniques, demonstrate materials, and provide guidance, the goal is not for every child’s artwork to look the same.

Students are encouraged to make choices, experiment, solve creative problems, and develop their own artistic voice.

❓ Can parents stay during class?

Weekly classes are drop-off only. This helps children focus, build independence, and become comfortable creating within their group.

If your child is new, shy, or nervous about the transition, please let me know. I am happy to help make the first few classes as comfortable as possible.

❓ How big are the groups?

Groups are kept intentionally small, with a maximum of 10 students, so each child has space to work and receive individual guidance.

❓ Are trial classes available?

A limited number of $25 trial classes may be available depending on the group, available space, and the project currently in progress.

Because many projects span multiple weeks, a single trial class may only provide a glimpse of the full Artberry experience. Please contact me if you would like to ask about trial availability.

❓ How far in advance should I book a party?

I recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance to have the best chance of getting your preferred date and time.

Popular weekend dates may fill earlier, so booking ahead is always a good idea.

❓ What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You may cancel or reschedule your party with at least 7 days’ notice.

The deposit is non-refundable, but with proper notice it may be transferred to a future available party date.

❓ Can I bring my own food and cake?

Yes! You are welcome to bring cake, cupcakes, snacks, drinks, and other party treats.

Please avoid food that requires heating or refrigeration.

❓ Can I bring my own decorations?

Absolutely. The studio will already have a colorful, festive atmosphere, but you are welcome to bring additional decorations, themed items, balloons, or goody bags.

Please let me know about your plans in advance so I can make sure everything works well with the studio setup.

❓ Do you provide plates, napkins, and cups?

Paper goods are not included in the base party package, but they can be added as an optional $25 upgrade.

You are also welcome to bring your own.

❓ How many kids can attend?

Party packages include a set number of children depending on the package you choose.

Additional guests may be added up to the studio’s maximum party capacity. Please check the current party package details for included guest counts and additional child pricing.

❓ What kind of art projects can we choose?

Birthday projects are guided, age-appropriate, and designed to give kids a fun creative experience while making something special to take home.

Options may include canvas painting, mixed media, collage, sculpture, and themed art projects.

You will choose the project before the party, and I am happy to discuss themes, favorite colors, or ideas that can make the project feel more personal to the birthday child.

❓ Can siblings or parents stay during the party?

A few adults are welcome to stay, especially with younger children.

The indoor studio space is designed primarily for the children participating in the party, so adult seating inside is limited. Additional tables and seating are available outside the studio.

❓ What does a typical party timeline look like?

A typical Artberry birthday party includes:

10–15 minutes | Arrival and welcome
45–60 minutes | Guided art experience
30–45 minutes | Cake, snacks, free drawing, photos, and celebration
5–10 minutes | Wrap-up and pick-up

The exact flow may vary depending on the selected project, age group, and party package.

❓ Do you offer outdoor or off-site parties?

At this time, Artberry birthday parties are held exclusively at the studio in San Elijo Hills. Off-site party services are not currently available.

❓ What ages are Artberry camps for?

Most Artberry camps are designed for kids ages 6+, with projects adapted to different ages, abilities, and experience levels. Please check the individual camp description for specific age requirements.

❓ What are the camp hours?

Summer camps offer two options:

Half-Day: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Full-Day: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

Drop-off begins approximately 10 minutes before camp starts. Please check the individual camp listing, as schedules may vary for seasonal camps and workshops.

❓ What should my child bring?

Please send your child with a labeled water bottle and a nut-free snack.

Full-day campers should also bring a nut-free lunch.

All art materials are provided. Kids should wear comfortable clothes that can get messy and arrive with sunscreen already applied if outdoor activities are planned.

❓ Are early drop-off or late pick-up options available?

Extended care is not currently available. Please plan to drop off and pick up during the scheduled windows.

A late pick-up fee may apply for children picked up after the designated pick-up time.

❓ What kinds of projects do kids create at camp?

Artberry camps are more than a typical arts & crafts camp.

Campers explore painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, mixed media, printmaking, and other art techniques through thoughtfully designed themed projects.

Projects may take several stages or even multiple days to complete, giving kids time to experiment with materials, develop ideas, and create real finished artwork they’ll be excited to bring home at the end of camp.

❓ What happens during full-day camp after lunch?

Full-day campers have time for lunch, outdoor games and a creative afternoon session. Depending on the day, afternoons may include free drawing, additional creative activities, or time to continue and finish larger projects.

Outdoor activities may take place in areas near the studio and are supervised.

❓ Do you offer single-day workshops?

Yes! Artberry offers creative workshops throughout the year, including weekends and school breaks.

Workshop themes, ages, duration, and pricing vary, so check the current schedule or follow Artberry on social media for upcoming events.

❓ What is the camp cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 15 days before the first day of camp are eligible for a refund minus a 5% processing fee.

Cancellations made less than 15 days before camp begins are non-refundable. Missed or partially attended camp days are also non-refundable and cannot be made up.

❓ What if my child is shy or has never taken an art class before?

That’s completely okay! Campers do not need previous art experience.

I provide guidance and demonstrations while allowing children to work at their own level, make creative choices, and build confidence at their own pace. Small groups also make it easier for me to give each child individual attention and help them feel comfortable.

❓ How does payment work for weekly classes?

Weekly classes are purchased by session rather than by month. Full payment for the selected 5 to 8 week session is due at registration and reserves your child’s spot for that entire session.

❓ Does my enrollment automatically renew?

No. There is no automatic renewal or recurring monthly payment.

Each session is registered and paid for separately, so you can choose which sessions work best for your family throughout the school year.

❓ Do I need to register again for each session?

Yes. Registration for each session is separate.

Current students are encouraged to register early for the next session, as spots are limited and enrollment is available on a first come, first served basis.

❓ Are missed classes refundable?

No. Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be credited toward another session.

Because many Artberry projects continue over multiple classes, make-up classes are not offered.

❓ What happens if my payment does not go through?

Your child’s spot is confirmed only after payment has been successfully completed.

If your payment does not go through, please update your payment information and complete registration as soon as possible. Availability cannot be guaranteed until payment is received.

❓ How can I update my payment information?

Payment information can be managed securely through your Wix account when available. If you experience any issues during registration or payment, please contact me and I’ll be happy to help.
